Master potter Abraham Cohn and his wife Ginka have made the Potters Wheel Gallery a destination for visitors to Door County for decades. This summer will see new stoneware by Abe, and the work of many other outstanding studio potters, chosen for their superior craftsmanship and elegant, original design.

Functional stoneware and porcelain, truly “art you can use” is featured at Potters Wheel Gallery. Unique ceramic Planet Speakers, drums, and decorative works are another focus. Museum-quality Southwest Pueblo and Mata Ortiz pottery that we’ve personally collected over the years is available, with pieces by sculptor D. Andrew Rodriguez. Additional exceptional pottery is displayed upstairs in the Collectors’ Gallery.

We have wheel demonstrations most Wednesdays from 2 to 4 pm, but any time you happen to find Abraham Cohn or John Hansen at work in the corner of the gallery space, you’re always welcome to sit, observe and ask questions.

Ginka Cohn set the standard for the Gallery’s attractive displays; her warmth, enthusiasm, and knowledgeable presence are sadly missed. We welcome you to our 57th season - dedicated to Ginka’s memory – and look forward to seeing you at the Gallery.

May weekends, then daily 11am-5pm; closed Thursdays.
